Why europe

Kris Heirbaut is a farmer implementing systemic innovations to reconcile agriculture and nature. On his farm in Temse, Belgium, he has been working for years to bring back balance in the food eco system. While producing food, farmers have the unique opportunity to sequester carbon in the soil. He believes photosynthesis is an important natural tool for this, but in fact one needs a good balance between all organisms: plants, animals, microbes and soil fungi. Next to smart and ancient practices, it takes innovation to adapt to and protect us against a changing climate. www.heirbauthoeveproducten.be
