Gijs Kleter, PhD, has been with Wageningen Food Safety Research (formerly RIKILT) in The Netherlands, for over 20 years. His main preoccupations are the food and feed safety of genetically modified products and emerging food safety risks. He has also served or is still is serving on various European and international committees such as the EFSA GMO Panel, the OECD Working Party for the Safety of Novel Foods and Feeds, IUPAC Crop Protection Chemistry Committee, and the faculty of the UNIDO post-graduate online course on biosafety
