Harry Dalton is a young climate activist currently pursuing his MA Economics and Environmental Studies at the University of Edinburgh. Whilst studying he dedicates his time and knowledge to advocacy work in his position as the food team leader in Generation Climate Europe, the largest coalition of youth-led networks at the European level. His work ranges from awareness campaigns to position papers and policy dialogues with the Commission in Brussels. He believes unsustainable food systems to be the linchpin in our degradation of the environment and planet. These notions can be depicted in one of his favourite quotes:
“Worried about biodiversity loss? Focus on food. Worried about freshwater supply & quality? Focus on food. Worried about deforestation? Focus on food. Worried about overfishing? Focus on food. Worried about climate change? Focus on energy, and food” Richard Waite, 2021.
