The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an intergovernmental economic organisation. It has its headquarters in Paris and 36 member countries. Founded in 1961 to stimulate economic progress and world trade, it focuses on policy building. The organization purpose to shape policies that foster prosperity, equality, opportunity and well-being for all, finding evidence-based solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges.
