President von der Leyen underlined the importance of a human economy and the importance of robust welfare systems; she spoke about the need to create opportunities for all Europeans to start trusting in their future again; to ensure that everyone contributes to this success. These are all issues that RIE will focus on in the months to come in our Task Force on a Fair Economy.

The importance of the European Green Deal was a central theme and we look forward to contributing to this debate through our work on “Narratives, Climate and the Future”.
