Prof. Dennis Eriksson is Associate Professor in Genetics and Plant Breeding at SLU. He also is a Former Professor in plant functional genetics at INN University in Norway. He is coordinating the Horizon Europe-funded projects GeneBEcon (2022-2025) and DETECTIVE (2024-2027). He has been working interdisciplinary for about five years (2017-2021) with the regulatory frameworks for plant biotechnology and genetic resources (incl. biosafety, ABS and PVR). He is recently initiating research on sweet potato with the aim to develop lines that grow well under Scandinavian conditions and have a high root iron content.
