Step into a transformative journey with Re-Imagine Europa’s Depolarisation Exhibition, an unprecedented event dedicated to tackling the growing divide in our societies, with a specific focus on climate change.
Drawing from the groundbreaking insights of the Narratives Observatory combatting Disinformation in Europe Systemically (NODES), this exhibition will showcase the leading climate narrative communities and the stories and deep values that lie behind them. It will reveal that most of the polarisation we see stems from misunderstandings and misinterpretations and will explore the cognitive paths that lead us to divergent conclusions. The exhibition will show how to bridge differing worldviews and foster genuine dialogue, sending a strong message about the importance of moving beyond entrenched positions and engaging in meaningful deliberation.
Hosted by Leire Pajín MEP, and supported by several Members of the European Parliament including Magdalena Adamowicz MEP and Klára Dobrev MEP, this engaging exhibition leverages innovative narrative methodologies to combat polarisation and foster a united future. Through engaging displays, visitors will explore the power of narratives in shaping our reality, learn how to “listen” to deeper subtext, and apply insights from neuroscience, behavioural science, and psychology to establish meaningful dialogue beyond their narrative community. The exhibition will showcase how these techniques can strengthen the core fabric of democracy by harnessing diversity and collective intelligence to develop innovative and robust solutions for citizens across Europe.
– The Inauguration of the Exhibition, followed by a reception, will be held on November 26 at 18:00 in the Flower Carpet Area in the European Parliament in Strasbourg. You can consult the Program here.
