AI4Gov-X

AI4Gov-X is a pioneering four-year initiative funded under the European Union’s Digital Europe Programme. Coordinated by POLI.DESIGN, the project aims to redefine digital governance by equipping policymakers, public sector professionals, and industry leaders with the knowledge and tools to navigate the AI-driven transformation of governance. 

As governments face increasing pressure to implement effective and equitable digital solutions, AI4Gov-X will create a framework for empowering public and private sector professionals with the tools to lead the digital transformation, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Spaces, and Digital Governance Transformation.  

At the heart of AI4Gov-X is a commitment to knowledge-sharing and capacity-building. The project will deliver two yearly editions of a cutting-edge online master’s programme, complemented by credential-based learning modules and extracurricular initiatives. A distributed innovation platform, AI4Scale, and an AI-powered network of excellence, AI4Engine, will connect stakeholders, enabling cross-sector collaboration and the co-creation of practical GovTech solutions. 

With the involvement of 41 institutions across 20 EU Member States and Associated Countries—spanning academia, civil society, and industry—the initiative embodies pan-European cooperation. AI4Gov-X not only fosters expertise in Digital Governance Transformation but also creates sustainable frameworks for future digital governance strategies. Partners will contribute cutting-edge expertise, from curriculum development to beta testing the project’s key technological tools.  

Re-Imagine Europa plays a key role in ensuring that AI4Gov-X goes beyond technological advancements, to also address societal challenges. As a strategic partner, RIE leads efforts in stakeholder engagement, knowledge dissemination, and the development of forward-looking narratives that make digital transformation more inclusive and democratically resilient. 

By bridging research, policy, and public engagement, AI4Gov-X aspires to leave a lasting legacy—one that fosters more digitally inclusive society, strengthens public institutions, and builds a digital ecosystem rooted in trust, innovation, and societal well-being.
