The Challenge
How we produce, distribute, and consume food affects us all— from our local communities to the global economy and environment. 2025 is a critical year for food and agriculture, not just in Europe, but across the globe. This is your chance to be part of an interactive and unique IDEA CHALLENGE, Future4Citizens (F4C), to explore, discuss, and help create a new vision for #FOOD and #AGRICULTURE.
Whether you are a farmer, a student, a policymaker, or simply a concerned citizen, your ideas can make a difference and help create a future where food systems work for all of us.
This experience is designed to fit your schedule, allowing you to engage whenever and however it works best for you.
Why it matters
Sustainable food systems are essential for economic growth, reducing poverty, and ensuring social stability worldwide. But agriculture is facing serious challenges that touch every part of the world: climate change, food insecurity, economic instability, and political uncertainty. These issues affect everyone, everywhere, and they require bold action and fresh thinking from all of us.
As the European Commission unveils its new Vision for Agriculture and Food, and discussions on the next Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) unfold, we have a unique chance to reshape food systems for greater resilience, sustainability, and fairness. This is an opportunity to make a real difference—and we need your ideas to create change that benefits us all.
