BRIDGING THE DIVIDE: NEW NARRATIVES FOR CLIMATE ACTION

Facebook Twitter Created with Sketch.

Drawing from the groundbreaking insights of the Narratives Observatory combatting Disinformation in Europe Systemically (NODES), this exhibition will showcase the leading climate narrative communities and the stories and deep values that lie behind them. It will reveal that most of the polarisation we see stems from misunderstandings and misinterpretations and will explore the cognitive paths that lead us to divergent conclusions.

Hosted by Leire Pajín MEP and supported by Magdalena Adamowicz MEP, Vitenis Andriukaitis MEP, Brando Benifei  MEP, Klára Dobrev MEP and Lena Schilling MEP, this exhibition will show how to bridge differing worldviews and foster genuine dialogue, sending a strong message about the importance of moving beyond entrenched positions and engaging in meaningful deliberation.

The exhibit will be installed at the ‘Flower Carpet’ Area, Louise Weiss Building (LOW), ground floor, next to the cafeteria. A launching event, followed by a cocktail, will be held on November 26th at 18:00.

As part of our Depolarisation Exhibition, we will be hosting a hybrid high-level Expert Roundtable on New Narratives for Climate Action. This event will build on the preliminary findings of the NODES’ research on Climate Narratives and will take place as a satellite event hosted by Magdalena Adamowicz MEP (from 15:00 to 17:00). The roundtable will bring together 30 key thinkers from academia, policy, NGOs, media, and other fields. It will feature groundbreaking analyses from renowned experts, who will present narrative maps, bridges, and traps to illuminate blind spots and suggest actionable paths forward. You can find the Agenda here.
